About Your Job:

As manager planning – Production Engineering your job  is  to plan,     manage and control the functions  of Production Engineering in  compliance  with  relevant  regulation and  procedures in  a  cost  effective  manner.

You will also:-

  • Ensure necessary consideration is given to Human Factors and Safety principles.
  • Ensure adherence to the relevant company procedures.
  • Plan and manage recourse levels, training requirements and performance reviews.
  • Responsible for management of projects and developments related to task instructions development of Heavy Maintenance Checks.

2. ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Operational

You will:-

•Develop and ensure compliance with the company procedures relevant to Production Engineering sub-section.

•Develop and monitor the plans to ensure timely execution of activities pertaining to his/her sub-section.

•Review and approve the proposed Maintenance Task Operating Plans (MTOP) relating to the Qatar Airways fleet. Ensure that such MTOP are making effective use of the material, human and ground time resources.

•Ensure that appropriate task instructions are developed while keeping in view the Human Factors, Safety Criticality and complexity of the tasks. Such tasks will be based upon Aircraft Maintenance Program.

•Ensure that through technical evaluation of the Engineering Documents and Base Deferred Defects is carried out and necessary pre-requisites like required ground time. Aircraft configuration, Man Hours etc. are defined and updated in TRAX.

•Provide specialized knowledge to explain the instructions of the tasks to the certifying staff.

•Develop and ensure definition of the check phases and task sequences for Heavy Maintenance              Check. This is an important task to ensure effective and timely accomplishment of Heavy Maintenance        Checks.

•Ensure review of the feedback from the certifying staff with respect to task instructions, MH, Sequences etc. and appropriate action to incorporate such feedback.

 

 

Management & Leadership

You will: -

•Establish the team objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.

•Regularly evaluate the teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.

•Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.

•Presents progress reports to Senior Management on the projects assigned to the team.

About You:

Qualifications:

Essential

•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical or other relevant Engineering discipline.

OR

•     A level education with ICAO type II license, held for not less than 8 years

Preferred

•     Project Management

•    Aircraft Type courses.

 

 

 

Previous Experience

Essential

Expert

•Minimum 9 years of job-related experience required

•Minimum 7 years aviation technical experience which includes:

•5 years of Aircraft Maintenance Program, Maintenance Planning and Base Maintenance experience.

•At least 3 years in Management position

Preferred

Work experience in Base Maintenance environment as support staff.
