Scope: The role focusses one major Business unit of the Company's Industrial segment. The incumbent will be a business partner to the Country Leader for South Africa, and will manage HR for South Africa, with the operational and tactical support of MEIA colleagues. The incumbent will report to the HR Leader for MEIA Main responsibilities: Contribute to the development of business strategy, its implementation and communication through translation into measurable functional and individual objectives. Provide effective support to the business in terms of HR programs serving the key priorities of organization and leadership development and on how to reach these objectives in the specific frame of the Company corporate structure, business priorities and values. Develop, consolidate and share aligned HR policies, processes and best practices toward standardization/lean implementation. Ensure that HR practices and policies comply with government regulations and country specific law Maintain selection strategy that provides high caliber people for immediate and future needs. Work with Talent Management team to ensure that Hi-potential talents are being developed and distributed throughout the organization. Facilitate the organization leadership review (OLR) and the Performance Management Process (PMP) at the commercial/country level. Counsel and coach leadership on critical issues impacting the business and /or work environment. Encourage open door policy and counsel employees that have concerns / issues. Support Country Leader as business partner on Sales Force Effectiveness, Employee Engagement, organizational design, sales and management incentive plan re-design, M&A activities (and others). Manage and consolidate processes such as Headcount, Incentive Plans and Merit Cycle for South Africa Change management Strategically and operationally, manage and execute the BBBEE program with help of a consultant. No direct reports. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree At least 7 years of experience within similar role, both hands on operational HR and more strategic business partnering with international/European experience, preferably in a US headquartered company in an industrial and/or services organization. Familiar with all areas of HR, with specific strength in talent management (acquisition, development and retention), organizational development, leadership development, as well as change management. Project management experience (leading wide scope projects for a region) is required. Ability to understand and translate high level strategy into an actionable project plan, interest for details is important. A true business partner, able to translate the business priorities into effective HR programs, with focus on strengthening the organization and leadership. Able to work in a complex matrix organization, dealing with the regional and Business Units' leaders, the colleagues within the Division and the HR centers of expertise at EMEIA level, which will require great influencing and leadership skills, as well as strong process management skills. Fluent in English, any additional language is a plus
