Job Mission / Objective To profitable manage a portfolio of customers by attending to all transactional, lending, operational and credit/risk related functions of business customer accounts. Reports to Senior Manager: Business and Commercial Banking Impact on Business Results Manage a profitable portfolio through retention, attraction, expansion, risk management and other relationship management activities. Strive to be the primary bank for customers in portfolio. Main Responsibilities BUSINESS: Ensure Business Profitability and Growth in conjunction with the Operational Banker through retention, attraction and expansion of customers in portfolio. Ensure approval of customer’s lending needs are met in conjunction with the Operational Banker through high quality applications. Ensure no regrettable customer losses. Ensure that portfolio is 100% self-funded through the attraction of correctly priced deposits. Successfully close cross and up-selling opportunities received from Operational Banker and own rources. Distribute further leads to internal business partners. Achieve Non Interest Revenue targets. Relationship and client focus: Client Engagement by conducting contacted amount of customer visits. Customer forums to be held in conjunction with other players in the value chain. Client Satisfaction by ensuring zero valid complaints from customers. Continuously improve turnaround times Risk Focus Ensuring risk metrics stay within set parameters for the portfolio. Support the Operational Banker in all risk related credit issues by ensuring all applicable due diligence on an applications is done in accordance to the laid down credit and risk policies and guidelines of the Bank. Team Involvement Coaching of younger staff Policies and Procedures Adherence to relevant policies and execution of relevant procedures Other Role Elements Contacts and Business Relationships Internal: Business suite staff, credit and risk staff, operational support staff External: Customers, professional networks Job Requirements Academic Knowledge: Minimum Matric, NQF 4, FAIS RE1 competent Work Experience: 5 years general banking experience, 3 years in credit related environment Skills / Specialized Know How: Credit and general bank operational skills. Competencies: excel, word, outlook, communication, teamwork, resilient, stress tolerance, high integrity and work ethic, customer service centric.
