Job Purpose To Provide & analyze data preparation for further analysis, project management, transport management and facility design, modeling and process support to the Distribution business unit. Required Learning Bachelor’s Degree / B Tech in Industrial Engineering. Technical Drawing capability in layouts and flow designs. 3 years Industrial Engineering experience in Manufacturing/Logistics environment. 3 years Project Management and Transport Management experience. Inventory Control/Management/ Optimization experience. Experience in principles of lean manufacturing and six sigma. Oracle and Freightware proficiency will be advantageous Proficient use in current versions of MS Excel, MS Projects, MS Word and Visio. Key Job Outputs Conduct and oversee execution of load analysis, capability, planning, time studies, layout, set up reduction, cost improvement and tool and fixture design. Assist senior leaders in selecting projects that align with business/functional goals and strategies to improve overall sector performance within distribution business unit. Constantly promote and instill the culture of waste identification and elimination throughout distribution Warehouse and Transport business. Collaborate with department leadership to implement plans and recommendations. Facilitate and implement business improvement activities. Promote cross-functional and inter-site teamwork to accomplish shared objectives. Lead facility layout and design projects with Operations, Facilities and support functions. Co-ordinate and lead complex continuous improvement tasks: creating and updating standards, creating and improving change request.
