Job Purpose Ensuring compliance with all the provisions of the Act 101 of 1965; Pharmacy Act, Act 53 of 1973 and all regulations and guidelines pertaining to the Wholesale license for medicinal products and Good Wholesaling/Distribution and Good Housekeeping Practices and Good Pharmacy Practice. Supervision of purchasing, acquiring, importing, keeping, possessing, using, releasing, storage, packaging, supplying or selling of any medicine or schedule substance or the supervision thereof. Required Learning Degree in Pharmacy Registration with the SAPC as a pharmacist Minimum 2-5 years relevant experience within pharmaceutical distribution environment Computer Literacy: MS Office; Oracle (Advantageous) Key Job Outputs Compliance to: Act 101 of 1965; Pharmacy Act 53 of 1973 MCC std and GMP/PIC/WHO guidelines To implement and train on Quality systems, SOPs and GDP Compliance Audits Wholesale Pharmacy Licence Application and retention Medical Device Licence Application and retention Managing Pharmacy Licence Applications and all other applicable sites Returns Management Minimum order check requirements Dedicated storage area management (Damages, Quarantine, Returns, Cold Store & Schedule Stores) Raise, maintain and monitor deviations, non-conformances and CAPA’s Supply and maintain and control S5 & S6 stock and Maintaining Registers Pharmacovigilance and ADR Reporting To efficiently perform all relevant administrative tasks in the warehouse Validation plan implemented, monitored and maintained Cold chain and route validation monitoring Health and safety Liaise with Clients and BU’s Manage stock for destruction Lot status updates in Warehouse Management System Ensuring that daily housekeeping checks are done and deficiencies are reported to line manager and corrected Creation and revision of Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Documents Maintain a satisfactory service level to Logistics, Distribution Escalate non-compliance of the quality systems immediately to Line Manager and Depot Manager where necessary, and assist in addressing the non-compliance Perform performance assessments of all direct reports against agreed objectives Ensuring change controls and deviations are raised and closed timeously Ensure correct handling of recalled and quarantined stock Ensure timely handling and reporting of product complaints from within the warehouse/customers Ensure QA team is visible and part of operation To ensure that self-inspection audits are performed and any deviations are followed up for all applicable sites. Assist with stock take Key holder After hours call out in case of fridge failure or emergency orders.
