About your Job:

You will be responsible for obtaining technical information and developing all the next generation Avionics, Cabin Interiors, Systems, IFE and Power Plant specifications. You will assist in equipment selection for the new Aircraft Definitions in your area of expertise. You will also provide Engineering Support and develop activities for upgrade programs and cabin re-configuration changes on Qatar Airways Aircraft Fleet. You must also ensure that selected equipment is in compliance of all technical, legal requirements, Airworthiness issues and is cost effective.

About you:

Qualifications:

Essential

Degree (BSc in Mechanical,   Electrical,   Electronics, Mechatronics of Aeronautical   Engineering).

May or may not hold an ICAO Type II License.

Previous Experience:

Essential

External:   Minimum   6 years job related experience of airworthiness/ /reliability/technical   support engineer role in a continuing airworthiness   maintenance organization   of a reputed airline.

•     Internal:  Completed minimum 2 years in EN.01   with related experience.

Job Specific Skills:

Essential

  • Good  knowledge  of  applicable  new  aircraft  and BFE  Product technical   specifications  and  regulatory requirements.
  • Must have a good working knowledge and understanding and be proficient in the use of MSG-3 and MRB. Good knowledge   of OEM aircraft interface specifications   for cabin and BFE products including aircraft system and equipment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills are needed.

    Preferred

  • A minimum of 06 years of technical engineering experience with  an international   airline/MRO   or Aviation industry
  • A clear  understanding of what   is required to obtain and develop   a cost effective  and efficient  aircraft specification  process.
  • A clear understanding   of operational excellence,  quality,  health  and safety and technical  issues,  as well as "client"  behavior   and understanding and experience of how to influence  this.
  • Demonstrate evidence   of strong conceptual   thinking and innovation with a strong and proven track record of generating   new ideas and concepts challenging traditional frontiers of thought.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Must be a team player and able to work across the Company Spectrum.
  • Fluent in English and be familiar with QCAA, EASA, FAA & lCAO regulations
  • MS office tools skills especially well versed with MS Project. Able to think and work independently.
  • Must be able to perform to high standards within an environment of constantly varying workload and achieve their targets and company business objectives.
