Reporting to Marketing Manager Responsible for the marketing activities across the specified portfolio, maximizing turnover and brand profit Job Purpose Required Learning 3 year Marketing Degree, diploma or IMM Diploma or equivalent Minimum 3-4 years’ experience within a pharmaceutical marketing and sales environment OTC Industry knowledge and experience FMCG marketing experience a bonus Skilled in: Excel, PowerPoint and Word Key Job Outputs Environmental Scan External environment: regulatory understanding, market size, trends and growth drivers, competitors, customers and shoppers Internal environment: business strategy alignment, segmentation, brand roles and positioning, sales and customer performance, SWOT analysis and innovation opportunities Brand Plan (short term - 1 Year focus) Brand opportunities and objectives, challenges, risks, strategy review, budgeting, pricing strategy, customer and channel plans, communication and activation, innovation pipeline and concept development. Implementation Phase Conduct relevant research to confirm brand strategy Analyse and understand relevant market and sales data to gain insights and track performance versus targets Track competitor intelligence Manage forecasting Manage brand statement (P&L) and margins Ability to lead and work with cross functional teams on multiple projects Manage marketing budget, brief agencies and implement successful campaigns Conduct continual ROI analysis on brand activities Custodian of innovation including feasibility studies and implementation to achieve sales targets Strategic sales and channel involvement to successfully implement channel/customer requirements Ensure consumer complaints are effectively resolved Manage new product introduction Communicate plans in an effective manner to sales and ensure implementation according to agreed strategy Manage the portfolio of brands as if it is your own business Core Competencies Analytical and commercially savvy Presentation & communication skills Leadership and assertiveness skills Work independently & in a team Detail & solution orientated Good Time management & prioritization of tasks Planning and organizational skills Perform under pressure with drive to succeed Passionate strategic thinker Self- motivated and entrepreneurial Adaptable to change
