Introduction
The Institute for Human Development (IHD) at Aga Khan University invites individuals with academic research career aspirations to apply for a post-doctoral fellowship at the Nairobi Campus, Kenya.


Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team of researchers consisting of faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and pre-doctoral research assistants/associates. This appointment is for 18 months and will be renewable for a second term based on project needs and performance.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a PhD degree (or comparable research doctorate) in a behavioral, social, and health science field that contributes to existing knowledge bases on children’s development in the earliest years of life (defined here as birth to age 8 years).

Examples of qualifying fields include, but are not restricted to, epidemiology, nutrition science, maternal and child health, anthropology, cultural psychology, developmental psychology, developmental disabilities, and pediatric psychology.

Applicants must possess strong research and scholarly writing credentials and show evidence of ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with others. Preference will be given to applicants with:
•    a reasonably strong publication record;
•    a record of participation as a team member on major research projects;
•    evidence of ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with others;
•    interest in teaching, if given the opportunity
